Congrats Vela!

She took WB each day for a total of 4 points for the weekend.  Hooray!

L to R, Judge Mr. Tippie, yours truly, and Vela.

I think she's really coming along nicely........

Vela was entered and won best smooth field trial dog (in a class of just one, herself!) at the Cascade Dachshund Club specialty on August 17th, 2007.  This is the only class she was entered into.

And... she took winners bitch for a 4 point major on Sunday also out of the bred-by class.

Good going Vela!

Vela goes to Canada!

We decided to take a vacation and drag our dogs to Canada to see what a Canadian dog show was like.

Saturday Vela took Best Op over a special for 1 point.

Sunday she took the Breed!  (I think  for 2 points.)

Either way, it's a LONG way to a Canadian championship.

But...Canada was a blast!  Vancouver is a fantastic city. If you ever have the opportunity to go, please take it!
