WEEK 5
Mandatory socialization, outdoor jail school, less Mommy and more dry food and water.
My beek friend Christy always lets me bring
pups to her office.
The entire workplace comes to a halt for some serious
puppy snuggling and socialization.
Into the truck we go. I used 2 crates, 3
in one, 4 in another.
No one was car sick! They did cry though.
Sissies!
But, all was better when we got to the office.
The smooching and loving and cooing was downright embarrassing!
This kind of handling is so important for the
puppies.
You must take them out, out, and out some more!
Of course SOME dogs you just can't take
anywhere.
Black Betty starts trouble the instant she arrives.
And, she ruthlessly kills the house dog. Such bad manners!
Yellow was in fine form as well.
This is
one forward girl.
The girls were wound up pretty tightly, but
the boys played for a bit, did the polite chatting,
then found a nice skirt
and slept under it and on top of it.
My friend Christy is a puppy charmer.
We are pathetic little boys and if we look
woebegone,
someone usually picks us up and gives us kisses.
Outside!
It's been gorgeous here the past
few days, so out to puppy jail they go!
Under the sweet gum! Shade and sun and a covered top so hawks don't eat us.
All the amenities of a luxury hotel are
provided:
tunnel, crate, log, wooden stand and a nice grassy place to poop,
pee and play.
(Usually in that order!)
This is the beginning of crate training. Crate = comfort/food/sleep/safety
They all run the tunnels like pros.
Yellow
wants to know what I'm lookin' at.
Go Outside and Play!!!
Something every mother says about 100 times a day in the summer.
OK, we will. And we will hang with our metal buddy.
He smells wrong.... kinda quiet too.
The long cool grass... perfect for summertime sniffing.
Tristan leads the charge, and Yellow is her right hand girl.
Hard tack and Adam's ale.
Here we are at the Mommy bar. We still
love it, but for some reason
there isn't as much food as there used to be.
Of course we are so big now! Mommy is shrinking.
Orange likes water. He's a foodie.
Hmmm! No one is at the crunchy buffet!
I get to eat in peace!
Yellow likes to lie down in the food while she
is at the milk bar.
Nice manners there Yellow!
You will never be invited
to the White House with those table manners!
